In order to strengthen the building of technology managers as a group, improve their professional capabilities, and make them better understand policies on science and technology and provide services for related projects of companies, and improve their internal exchanges and sharing technology transfer resources, the Eighth Suzhou Technology Manager Salon in 2015, cosponsored by Suzhou Productivity Promotion Center and Suzhou Kexin Technology Manager Services Co., Ltd., was held successfully at the Innovation Plaza on August 25, 2015. 
 

Professionals from the www.sz-dy.gov.cn (a service platform of R & D resource sharing in Suzhou), and of technology contract registration and commercialization were invited to talk about various policies the local government has introduced to support the science and technology companies. 

Thirty-one technology managers took part in the salon and 13 of them came from technology companies. Introduction on the Suzhou service platform of R & D resource sharing and related supporting policies and on the operation of technology contract registration and projects of technology commercialization were made on the salon. All the technology managers said it was a very rewarding event. 

In addition, in order to make technology managers more motivated in their job, the organizers shared incentive policies for those who collect effective technology demand and help promote the technology commercialization. The managers present said they would be more proactive in playing the role of a “technology broker”, and promote effective communication among technology companies and that between them and higher education institutions.
